APAIE 2020 was postponed to March 27-31, 2022 as a hybrid conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the hybrid conference is now transitioning to a virtual conference March 27-31, 2022.
What will be the format of APAIE 2022? The APAIE 2022 Conference & Exhibition is an virtual-only Conference and Exhibition to be delivered via a virtual platform.

How can I connect with exhibitors and sponsors and other delegates?
All delegates will have the ability to schedule meetings with exhibitors and sponsors via the virtual meeting scheduling tool that will be open closer to the show date. Attendees will be able to attend meetings by video within the APAIE 2022 virtual platform.
Will I be able to see a list of all delegates? All registered delegates have access to the APAIE 2022 Virtual Platform, provided they don't have any outstanding fees. The APAIE 2022 Virtual Platform will allow delegates to network and connect with all other delegates who have consented to sharing their profile. Access to the APAIE 2022 Virtual Platform for registered delegates is anticipated the first week of March 2022.
When and where will APAIE 2023 take place?
APAIE 2023 will be held in late March in Bangkok, Thailand, with Mahidol University as the lead host university.
Registration Cancellation & Refunds
Now that conference has transitioned to a virtual format, what happens to my APAIE in-person conference registration?
Registered delegates who transfer their current registration to the APAIE 2022 virtual meeting, will be refunded the difference in registration fee paid.
Registration cancellations received on or before February 18, 2022 (23:59 PST) will be eligible for a refund, less a USD 100.00 administration fee. Cancellation requests received after February 18, 2022 (23:59 PST), will not be refunded. Should you wish to cancel or transfer, please email the APAIE 2022 conference organisers at apaie2022-registration@icsevents.com.
What happens to my onsite costs? Now that the conference has transitioned entirely to a virtual event, all travel, accommodation booked outside the conference blocks, and related onsite costs will not be refunded by APAIE nor the APAIE 2022 conference organisers. Such costs, cancellations or refunds are not the responsibility of APAIE nor the conference organising committee.
Can I transfer my conference registration to another person?
Yes. When the APAIE 2022 registration system opens in May 2021, you may transfer your registration to another person. You can do this by re-accessing the original delegate's registration account via the confirmation letter and overwriting their details with the new delegate’s details.
Can I change the details in my registration record? Yes. When the APAIE 2022 registration system opens in May 2021, you may log in and change details in your registration record.
What is the cancellation policy for Sponsors and Exhibitors? Our dedicated Outreach Manager will be in touch with each confirmed Sponsor and Exhibitor individually to plan for their transfer or cancellation.

Access to the Virtual Platform
Access to the Virtual Platform will open on February 28, 2022 at 09:00 PST, to give you a chance to network with registered delegates and exhibitors ahead of the main conference dates, March 27 - 31, 2022. Please keep an eye out for incoming emails from “Pheedloop” in the email account you used for registration which will have important login details. If you do not receive the email with the virtual platform link, please check your spam/junk folder.

How do I access APAIE 2022?
Log in with your registration email address and the password provided in your APAIE 2022 Virtual Event Portal Access email sent to you.
Your Online Profile
Once you are logged in, you can update your profile and select the visibility of your profile by clicking on the "Account" tab.
Web Browser
We strongly recommend using a modern browser to participate in the virtual event. Specifically, we suggest Google Chrome for its security and feature compatibility. If you would like to download it, please follow this link.
Internet Connection
A high-speed internet connection is recommended to participate in sessions without experiencing interruptions. If the stream is working, but the audio or video seems choppy, it is possible your internet connection is too slow, unstable, or bandwidth is being utilized elsewhere.
What is the recommended bandwidth to attend the Conference?
For the best experience, we recommend at least 1.2 Mbps download speed.
I can see the video, but I do not hear any sound
Ensure your speakers are not muted, none of the controls on the stream (if available) are muted, and no other tab is occupying your audio channel.
I am having audio issues
Please make sure you clicked on “Join Computer Audio” on the session screen when it opens.
You may also re-click on the session name (left side) to refresh the stream (DO NOT refresh your browser; this will cause you to log out of the session). If your sound issue continues, please exit, and re-enter the meeting. During live broadcast hours, you can also connect with us via the LiveChat in the bottom left corner of our screen. If you are watching presentations on tablet/ phone, you may consider using a headset.

What happens if I am registered but cannot make it to the Virtual meeting?
The presentations will be recorded and made available on the platform shortly after the live broadcast, and will be available for on-demand viewing until May 31, 2022
Can I download the presentations to watch when not connected to the Internet?
Unfortunately, no. You will require a high-speed internet connection to stream the presentations.
